You’ve finally found what seems to be the perfect home. It’s got all your must-haves and some of your nice-to-haves, too. It looks like it’s in excellent condition, but merely looking like it’s in good condition is not enough when it comes to such a huge financial decision.
At Capitol Home Inspections we are members of, and follow the Standards of Practice set forth by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and the State of Florida.
Systems of the home inspected include the:
- Basement, Foundation, Crawlspace & Structure
- Attic, Insulation & Ventilation
- Doors, Windows & Interior
The Inspection Process:
While many inspectors advertise that they welcome the clients presence during the inspection, we have found that this is not the best practice. We prefer to arrive and inspect the home 2 to 3 hours prior to your arrival. We believe that is important for us to dedicate all of our attention to the inspection process and then dedicate all of our attention to explaining our findings and answering all of your questions during a second walk through. This is too important for multitasking, both stages deserve our full attention. While this process does take us more time, this second walk through allows us to do a better job inspecting and explaining our findings and saves your valuable time while we are crawling around under the house and in the attic and inspecting the roof.
